Marksmen Vegetation Management has provided mulching services in Canada since 2001. With a fleet consisting of trucks, UTV’s, Argos, mulchers, and bombardier tracked extreme terrain vehicles, we are sure to get any size of job needed, done. Our equipment is always kept up-to-date and is maintained regularly as part of our preventative maintenance program. Benefits of Mulching
Mulching helps to hold down trees, shrubs, and any other types of vegetation that one sees as undesirable. By using a mulcher, this allows us to clear large areas, make cut lines where needed, and create trails in a much timelier manner then using an alternative method such as saws. This method also minimizes a lot of risks as there is no burning, no stumps, and minimizes ground disturbance.
Benefits for using a mulcher include healthier eco-system, preventing erosion, and reduces impact to landscape. Having a healthier eco-system is created by the machines shredding the desired vegetation, which creates a natural “mulch”, which then breaks down further over time creating nutrients and fertilizer for the soil. The mulch created is also able to naturally reduce the risk of different molds and funguses, that could then affect other still-standing vegetation. The mulch also allows for the soil to keep in place which will significantly reduce the risk of soil and rocks moving elsewhere, creating erosion.
Another great benefit to mulching would be having little to no ground disturbance. All vegetations is typically mulched in its original spot, which reduces the amount of heavy traffic coming and going for hauling.
